We are currently looking to expand our team with 3 positions available to for the right individuals looking for a long term position.

 

Senior Structural Engineer

We have an immediate requirement for a Chartered or very near chartered Senior Structural Engineer who is capable of working under their own initiative, running projects from concept to completion. They will be expected to liaise with clients and architects, be self-motivated, comfortable working on their own producing design packages including drawings or working with and mentoring a junior technician / draughtsman.

The projects on which we work on are predominantly constructed from Masonry including finely detailed stonework, with secondary elements in steel and concrete where required. The position available is considered to be more fitting to Engineers from a small consultancy background wishing to work on slightly larger projects as opposed to Engineers used to large multi storey framed commercial or residential projects. Thus, technically competent Engineers with a broad background of building structures in all materials and experience of handling projects on site from surveying through to inspections, are preferred.

A good team player with fluent English, a proven track record and a full UK driving licence is required.

The applicant will need to be fully conversant with 2D AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and a key understanding of design analysis programs is essential.

Salaries are negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience.

Structural Engineer / Associate Member

We have an immediate requirement for a Structural Engineer who is working their way towards Chartership and looking to progress their career with opportunities to manage their own projects.

They should be proven to be capable of working under their own initiative, providing analysis and design calculations for small to medium sized structures to British Standards or Eurocodes.

They will also need to be able to produce design details using AutoCAD 2D, exceptional hand drawn sketches to relay information would also be acceptable for the smaller projects.

A minimum 4 years post graduate experience in a consultancy office is required. We would also be delighted to consider experienced Associate-Members pursing Chartership through the bridging route.

Structural Technician / Detailer

We have an immediate requirement for a Structural Technician / Detailer who has excellent building structures draughting and co-ordination skills to become a valued member of our design team.

They should be proven to be capable of working under their own initiative under the supervision of one of the two principals, providing construction drawings for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.

They must be AutoCAD 2D fully competent. Revit and Sketchup knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

A minimum HNC/HND level qualification in Structural/Civil Engineering is required. Further training and support will be given towards obtaining a Technician Member (TIStructE) status.

The projects we work on are generally constructed predominantly from Masonry including finely detailed stonework, with secondary elements in steel and concrete where required. The position available is considered to be more fitting to Technicians having an interest in all building materials rather than steel or RC specialism.

Salaries are negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience.
